COZUMEL AREA ACTIVITIES
As an island paradise, Cozumel is laid-back and relaxing. Located off the Mexican Yucatan Peninsula in the Caribbean Ocean, it caters to water enthusiasts of all ages. Since Jacques Cousteau made the island famous in the 1960's with a documentary on the island's underwater glory, it has continually attracted scuba divers from around the world.
But while Cozumel is a Mecca for divers, snorkelers and sport fishermen, it also offers a myriad of other options to vacationers, such as first-rate golf, archeological sites, museums, shopping, nature reserves, excellent restaurants, and night life.
Customized Island Tours Not familiar with Cozumel? Don't worry! Take a customized tour of the island with local Americans who know it well. They will work with you to design the perfect tour that caters to your interests. It's a great way to get an overview of the island, learn some of its history, and experience the best it has to offer from people you can trust.
Scuba Diving We know several dive operators on the island to make sure your needs are accommodated. Do you want small, fast boats? Or does your group need a larger boat? Do you have beginning or advanced divers? Or are you looking to experience it for the first time?

Snorkeling Great snorkeling areas are accessible from many beaches. However, Cozumel offers many off-shore reefs available only by boat. These sites have crystalline waters, amazing visibility and hundreds of varieties of tropical fishes. Experienced guides show you stunning coral formations, help you identify different species of fish and show you the best places to look for harder to find marine life.
Deep Sea Fishing There is nothing like a day on the ocean, fighting a 200 pound marlin! Because Cozumel is in the middle of the Gulf Stream, it attracts a variety of fish such as sailfish, blue and white marlin, wahoo, mahi-mahi and tuna. Half or full day trips are available. All trips include food and beverages. Don't forget to bring your camera!
Parasailing See Cozumel from a different point of view. Parasailing is a relaxing way to witness the beauty of the island and the rich blue hues of the Caribbean Sea. You'll be amazed at how quiet it is floating 500 feet in the air while taking in the breathtaking scenery. Take off and landing is all done safely from the deck of the boat.
Car/Moped Rentals Renting a car or moped can definitely make it easier to get around Cozumel. And it's the best way to get to the other side of the island - a must for anyone visiting here. You can choose from open air or air conditioned, Jeeps, VW Beetles or traditional 4 door sedans.
Golf Enjoy a day on the greens at Cozumel Golf Club, a Jack Nicklaus designed course on the North side of the island. Play 18 holes in a natural jungle setting among palm trees, mangroves and tropical wildlife. The club is complete with driving range, pro shop and electric golf carts.
Mainland Excursions Take a day to explore attractions on the mainland. Xel-Ha and Xcaret are eco-theme parks located in the Riviera Maya. Both offer natural rivers, lagoons, cenotes, dolphin experiences, and Mayan culture. Or discover ancient Mayan ruins first hand at Tulum or Chichen-Itza, and get a glimpse of the history and remnants of these mysterious and fascinating people. Enjoy the adventure.
